DHAKA: All sorts of vehicular movements will remain suspended in Dhaka and Chittagong city corporation areas on April 28 during polls.

Election Commissioner Sirajul Islam told banglanews that all kinds of motor vehicles, including town service passenger buses and tempos, will remain suspended from April 27 midnight to April 28 midnight.

According to the Election Commission (EC) circular, motor vehicles including auto-rickshaw, CNG-run auto-rickshaw, easy bike, taxicab, pickup, truck, microbus, private car and tempo, will not be allowed to run on the election day in Dhaka and Chittagong city corporation areas.

However, the vehicles, carrying local and foreign poll observers and the media with the permission of EC, will be purview of restriction.
