MALAYSIA: Bangladesh foreign minister AH Mahmood Ali is set to visit Malaysia on Friday (May 15) to attend a joint commission meeting of foreign minister level.
The minister is expected to reach Malaysia at 8:15am on the day.
Sources said foreign ministers of two brotherly countries will discuss several bilateral issues including manpower, visa, economic cooperation and strengthening trade.
Bangladesh high commissioner in Malaysia Mohammad Shahidul Islam, deputy high commissioner and head of chancellor (political) will also accompany the minister at the two-day meeting to begin on May 16.
Moreover, expatriate Bangladeshis have taken preparation to receive Mahmood Ali on Friday.
Malaysia Awami League joint-convener Qamaruzzaman Kamal told banglanews said the minister is coming to discuss about the issues related to Bangladesh’s interest.
‘Expatriates have taken preparation to receive the minister,’ he added.
