DHAKA: Clashes over land dispute killed a college student and injured three in city’s Pallabi area on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Abdur Rahman Chanchal (20), a degree student of Bangabandhu University College, and injured as Rajib (27), Shahin Uddin (30) and Mohammad Ali (32).

Pallabi Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Ziauzzaman told banglanews that two group of people locked into a clash over land dispute in Uttar Kalshi area leaving four injured.

Locals rushed the injured to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), where on-duty doctor declared Chanchal dead on arrival.

‘Police is looking into the matter,’ the OC added.

The deceased’s relative Salahuddin said, after coming out of his house, Chanchal was walking through the road. He was not involved with any of the conflicting group. He was a mere victim of the clash.
