DHAKA: Chapainawabganj razakars Mahidur Rahman and Afsar Hossain Chutu have been taken to tribunal at 7:45am Wednesday as International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-2 set to pronounce verdict in war crimes cases against them.  

Security measures have been tightened around the tribunal.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police senior assistant commissioner (Ramna zone) Shibli Noman told banglanews that adequate number of police forces has been deployed centering delivery of the verdict to avoid any untoward situations.

Besides police, members of intelligence agencies in plainclothes have also taken position in the adjacent area of the tribunal, Shibli added.

Earlier on April 22, after completion of the case proceedings, Justice Obaidul Hasan, chairman of the tribunal, said judgement has been kept CAV (Curia Advisari Vult), a Latin legal term which means the court wishes to be advised.
