BAGERHAT: Two persons were killed in a road accident on Bagerhat-Mawa highway at Kanar Pukur area under Fakirhat Upazila early Friday.

The deceased could not be identified immediately.

Officer-in-Charge of Bagerhat Highway Thana Abdul Mannan Farazi told banglanews that a hen-laden pick-up turned turtle as a rashly driven microbus knocked it from behind, leaving the driver of the pick-up and hen trader killed on the spot.

Police recovered the bodies and kept those at highway thana. The microbus fled the spot, OC Abdul Mannan Farazi added.
