DHAKA: A garage adjacent to the under-construction site of the National Bank Limited (NBL) Tower in city’s Karwan Bazar area collapsed Sunday evening.

Witnesses said the adjacent garage collapsed when a portion of the NBL piling behind the tower had collapsed around 7:30pm.

However, none was injured in this accident as there was no vehicle and people in the spot.

Assistant Commissioner (AC) of Tejgaon Zone police Rajib Das told banglanews that public entrance has been restricted as the area become risky.

Earlier May 27, the northeast portion of the basement of Sundarban Hotel in city fell down hours after the collapse of a part of its adjacent under-construction building. 

The authorities declared the Panthapath and adjacent areas risky.
