CHITTAGONG: Police on Tuesday detained a top human trafficker in Pinchari area under Basnhkhali Upazila of the district early Tuesday.

The detainee was identified as Abdur Razzak, 40.

District’s additional superintendent of police (ASP) (south) Habibur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Habibur Rahman said the detainee is one of five top traffickers listed by the district’s police. He is also accused in three trafficking-related cases with Basnhkhali Thana.

Abdur Razzak is also listed by the human trafficking prevention committee of the home ministry, added the ASP.
