COMILLA: At least 10 people sustained burn injuries in a LPG (liquid petroleum gas) cylinder blast at a shop in Doudkandi Upazila of the district Tuesday night.

However, the condition of two of the injured is critical, said hospital sources.

Affected people said at least eight shops were gutted in the fire due to a gas cylinder blast at Gouripur bazar around 8:00pm that burnt to ashes valuables worth about crore of taka.

Of them, six injured including Saddam Hossain, 26, son-in-law of owner of Soudia Refrigerator were sent to Dhaka Medical Collge Hospital while rests were admitted to Gouripur Hospital.

Doudkandi Model Thana Officer-In-Charge (OC) Mohammad Abu Salam Mia confirmed the matters to banglanews.
