COMILLA: Two siblings were killed and four other injured in a road accident in Pennai area under Doudkandi Upazila of the district on Sunday morning.

The deceased were identified as Abdul Karim, 28, and Abul Kalam, 22, sons of A Mamman Molla of Kushiara village of the upazila.

Quoting witnesses, police said a covered crashed into a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in the area on Dhaka-Chittagong highway around 7:00am, leaving two brothers dead on the spot and four others injured.
 
The injured were rushed to Gouripur Hospital and after giving first aid, they were sent to Dhaka for better treatment.

Daudkandi Highway Thana sub-inspector (SI) M Rafiqul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Dead bodies and the two vehicles have been kept under police custody.
