Deal inked for Karnaphuli Tunnel

DHAKA: The government Tuesday signed a deal with a Chinese company for construction of 4 km tunnel underneath the Karnaphuli River in Chittagong with a cost of 705 million US Dollar.

A Bangladesh delegation led by Roads Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader inked China Communications Construction Company Ltd in presence of former Foreign Minister Dipu Moni in Beijing.
