Pilot Rumman still missing

CHITTAGONG: Flight Lieutenant Rumman Tahmid Chowdhury remains missing after his fighter aircraft F-7 crashed into the Bay of Bengal near Patenga sea beach on Monday morning.

Bangladesh Air Force, Navy and Coast guards found pieces of debris of the jet on Monday and have continued search for Rumman.

The jet crashed in the Bravo Anchorage of the Bay of Bengal at Chittagong during a training flight.

Additional Commander pf Coast Guard M Nurul Huda told banglanews that they have been conducting search for Rumman.

On June 29, the control room lost contact with Tahmid’s jet around 11:10am after taking off from BAF Zahurul Haque base.

Later after 30 minutes, it was confirmed that the fighter had crashed six miles off Patenga coast.
