SYLHET: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-9 detained seven people along with 12-pound poison of Cobra worth Tk 46-crore from Kanaighat Upazila of the district Friday.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP-media) of RAB-9 Mainuddin Chowdhury confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Acting on a tip-off, members of the elite force conducted a raid in the area at noon and detained the seven people.

RAB members also seized a revolver from their possession, he added.

Further information will be revealed in a press conference later, the ASP said.
