MUNSHIGANJ: At least four people were killed and three injured as a pickup van turned turtle in Gazaria upazila of Munshiganj district on Wednesday.

Locals said that all the deceased were passenger of the van.

One of the deceased was identified as Ibrahim.

The accident took place on Dhaka-Chittagong highway at 3:30pm on the day.

Gazaria Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Hedayetul Islam Bhuiyan confirmed the matter to banglanews.

A Comilla-bound pickup van hit the road divider as its driver lose control over steering in Alipura area leaving four persons dead on the spot and three injured.

The injured are admitted at Gazaria Upazila Health Complex, he added.
