DHAKA: The compact discs (CD) of video clips of the report and talk show aired by ‘Ekattor Television’ on the audio tape of the conversation between Chief Justice SK Sinha and another justice have been submitted to the Supreme Court.

Attorney General Mahbubey Alam submitted those before the Appeal Division on Sunday morning.

After submission of CD, two-member appellate division bench, led-by justice Nazmun Ara Sultana, order the authorities concerned to entry the matter in Tuesday’s cause list.

On August 11, Attorney General told reporters that private satellite broadcaster ‘Ekattor Television’ aired the conversation while airing news and talk show on the court contempt of Bangla daily ‘Janakantha’ on August 10 where it displayed picture of CJ and image of other was out of focus.

Four-member appellate division bench led by the CJ took opinions of attorney general Mahbubey Alam and former attorney general Mahmudul Islam regarding the matter on August 11, he added.

The apex court asked ‘Ekattar TV’ to submit video compact discs of a news and a talk show over a ‘leaked conversation’ before it by August 16.

Jatya Press Club president Mohammad Shafikur Rahman, Ekattor TV managing director Mozammel Babu, ‘Janakantha’ editor Mohammad Atiquallah Khan Masud and executive editor Swadesh Roy, Ekattor journo Syed Istiak Reza were present at the court this morning.
