KHULNA: Rail communications of Khulna with other parts of the country halted due to derailment of two bogies of a freight train in Daulatpur area of the town Wednesday morning.

Due to derailment of two bogies of Khulna-bound train from Bogra around 6:30am, five trains of different routes remained stranded at Khulna station, said Railway west zone examiner Kamrul Islam.

He also said rescue operation has already started few minutes ago. More than three hours needed to clear the line.

After that the rail services will resume around 1pm, he added.
