DHAKA: High Court issued a rule against the government asking it for explanation on why Section 57 of ICT Act will not be declared illegal and unconstitutional.

An HC bench comprising Justice Moinul Islam Chowdhury and Jastice Ashraful Kamal passed the order after hearing on a writ in this regard on Tuesday.

On August 30, eleven teachers and writers filed the writ.

Meanwhile, another HC bench comprising Justice Farah Mahbub and Justice Kazi Izarul Haque Akanda fixed Wednesday for passing order on another writ on same issue.
