NARAIL: A district court issued an arrest warrant against Naem Nizam, the editor of the daily Bangladesh Pratidin, and publisher Mustafa Kamal Mohiuddin.

District Senior Judicial Magistrate Mohammad Zakaria passed the order at noon after a hearing on Tuesday.

Court sources said that the warrant was issued following a sports report published in the daily on May 18, 2012.

Bangladesh Volleyball Federation general secretary Mohammad Ashuqur Rahman Miku filed a defamation case on June 3 of the same year.
