DHAKA: National Board of Revenue (NBR) has decided to extend Saturday’s time of the Income Tax Fair for three hours.

People can file their income tax returns, collect new e-Tax Identification Number (TIN), and renew the old TIN as e-TIN till 8:00pm on Saturday, fourth day of the week-long fair, in stead of 5:00pm.

NBR member and also convener of the fair M Abdur Razzak disclosed the decision on Friday.

The fair, which commenced from Wednesday, remained open from 10:00am to 5:00pm without any break. Three-hour time has been extended only for Saturday, he added.

Last three days of the fair (Sept 20-22) will remain open following pre-scheduled time.

The fair will be closed on September 22.
