DHAKA: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) boosted security of cattle markets, rail stations, bus stands, launch terminals and shopping malls in city for upcoming Eid-ul-Azha.

DMP commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia made the assertion during his visit to a temporary cattle market at Aftabnagar on Tuesday.



He also said they have planned to install CCTVs, watch towers, and money squads to ensure security of the cattle markets.

The DMP boss further said police have detained over 200 members of ‘aggyan party’ and ‘molom party’ in past two weeks.
