DHAKA: President Abdul Hamid expressed his deep condolence at the death of stampede in Mina during hajj pilgrimage.

In a condolence message, the President prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls and conveyed sympathy to the members of the bereaved families.

He prayed for early recovery of the pilgrims injured in the incident.

However, at least 717 people have been killed and over 863 injured in a stampede at the annual hajj pilgrimage, Saudi Arabia's civil defense directorate said, as the death toll continued to rise.
