DHAKA: At least eight Bangladeshis have been injured in stampede in Mina near Makkah during hajj performance.

Bangladesh ambassador to Saudi Arabia Golam Moshi confirmed the matter to banglanews over cell phone.

‘At least injured eight pilgrims have been identified as Bangladeshis,’ the envoy said adding that they are under medical treatment.

‘I visited a hospital and found no Bangladeshi dead,’ he added.

According to him, other Bangladesh embassy officials are also working in this regard.
