DHAKA: At least six members of a family suffered burn injuries in a gas leak fire in a tin-shed house at Kafrul in city on early Sunday.
 
The explosion took place in Senpara Parbata area of Mirpur-14 at Kafrul around 1:30am while someone was smoking near the gas pipe, leaving six of residents injured.

The injured are – SM Delwar Hossain, 45, his wife Saleha, 40, daughters Amena, 25, Fatema, 12, son Jahid, 14 and Amena’s one-year-old son Arman.

All of them were admitted to burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

Officer-in-charge of Kafrul Police Station Shikdar Md Shamim Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.
