DHAKA: The 25-year-old daughter of a joint secretary was found dead at a Ramna building in city early Sunday.

Promiti Rahman, daughter of Mahbubur Rahman, was the student of Chittagong University. Her mother Alam Ara Begum is a joint secretary of primary and mass education ministry.

On information, police recovered the body at 1:00am from Tomal building adjacent to Eskaton Garden Holy Family.

Ramna Thana Sub Inspector (SI) Emdadul Huq confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The motive of the death could not be ascertained immediately. It would be clear after autopsy, he added.
