MUNSHIJANG: A woman and her minor granddaughter were killed as a bus knocked them down in Sreenagar upazila of Munshiganj district on Sunday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Salma Begum (38) and Jisan (4).

Locals said that a bus rammed into them while the woman was crossing the road keeping her granddaughter in lap.

Sreenagar Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Shahinur Rahman told banglanews that they have recovered the bodies.

‘Moreover, we are trying to seize the bus,’ he added.
