SATKHIRA: An alleged ringleader of a robber gang and one of his aides were killed and three cops injured in a ‘gunfight’ with police at Boro Kupat village in Shyamnagar upazila of Satkhira district Monday night.

The deceased were identified as Alal Gazi, 45, ringleader of a robber gang of Alal Bahini and his cohort Saidul Sarder, 30.

Shyamnagar Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Enamul Haque confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He also said three cops, including two assistant sub-inspectors, were injured in the incident.

Police also seized a shutter gun and 10 rounds of bullets from the spot, the OC added.
