DHAKA: The Executive Committee of National Economic Council (ECNEC) on Tuesday gave approval to a project to establish National Data Center with the view to ease the implementation of Vision-2021 of the incumbent government.

The approval came from the meeting of the government’s highest policy-making body at NEC conference room in city with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.

The project, which will cost around Tk 1,500-crore, will be established to ensure public administration’s efficiency, transparency and accountability through the use of ICT.

The meeting also approved three other projects worth around Tk 974.95-crore.
