SYLHET:  Three members of a family were killed in a road accident at Osmaninagar on Sylhet-Dhaka highway on Thursday night.

The deceased were identified as Arju Mia, 55, and his sons Shahid Mia, 12 and Kaiyum, 9.

Local sources said a speedy truck ran over Arju Mia and his two sons while they were crossing the highway in Begumpur Bazar area around 7:30pm, leaving Shaheed dead on the spot and two others injured.

The injured were rushed to Sylhet Osmani Hospital where duty doctor declared them dead.

Sherpur Highway Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Nurunabi confirmed the matter to banglanews.
