DHAKA: Government has taken decision to arrange local government elections using party banners and symbols.

The cabinet approved the drafts of Union Parishad (Amendment) Law-2015, Upazila Parishad (Amendment)-2015 and Zila Parishad (Amendment) Law-2015 and City Corporation (Amendment)-2015.

It also approved the proposal of enact Pourasabha (Amendment) Law-2015 through an ordinance.

Cabinet secretary Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan informed the media after the meeting on Monday.
