DHAKA: Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) detained a Myanmar national with 20,000 pieces of yaba tablets from Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar district.
Confirming the matter to banglanews, BGB headquarters public relation officer (PRO) Muhammad Mohsin Reza said that the Myanmar national was held in a drive conducted in Gafur Project area in Teknaf at 7:00am on Saturday.
Moreover, BGB men seized 40,000 pieces of yaba tablets conducting drives on early Saturday.
No one was detained in the drives, the PRO added.
However, the Myanmar citizen has been handed over to the thana concerned.
