DHAKA: A man was killed in a gunfight with members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in capital’s Kuril Bishwa Road area  early Friday.

The detail of the gunfight could not be known immediately.

The deceased was identified as Jahurul Islam Bijoy, 32, resided in Badda’s Ananda Nagar area in the city and son of Sadek Ali, according to driving license belonged by him.

RAB-1 members rushed bullet-wounded Jahurul to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where he succumbed to his injuries around 3:30am.

DMCH police outpost in-charge Mozammel Haque told banglanews that the body has been kept at morgue of the hospital.
