Now expeditions toward Ama-Dablam, Kyajo-Ri

DHAKA: After Musa Ibrahim and Wasfia Nazreen’s conquering the summit of the Mount Everest, a seven-member team of Bangladeshi youths is set to conquer the Kyajo-Ri summit in Nepal.

The team members include Nur Mohammad, Kazi Bahlul Majnu, Shamim Talukder, Ikramul Hasan Shakil, Shaila Parvin and Fouzia Ahmed.

Everest conqueror MA Muhit will lead the expedition, organizer said at a press conference at National press Club on Thursday.

Bangla Mountaineering and Trekking Club has arranged the two expeditions.

At the press meet, Dhaka University's Professor Emeritus Anisuzzaman handed over the national flag to the climbers.

The team of climbers will leave Dhaka for Nepal on October 27. They, hopefully, complete the expedition to Kyajo-Ri summit (20,295feet) within 20 days. Later, six members of the team will return home.

On the other hand, team leader MA Muhit will start his expedition towards the summit of Ama Dablam (22,350feet).
