Jagriti publication owner chopped dead in city

DHAKA: Within four hours of attack on Suddhaswar owner Ahmedur Rashid Tutul, another publisher was chopped dead at Shahbagh in city Saturday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Foysal Arefin Dipon, owner of Jagriti Publications, who also published several books of slain blogger Avijit Roy.

Shahbagh Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Deb Roy confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Earlier in the day, a gang of three-four miscreants chopped popular publishing house Suddhaswar owner Ahmedur Rashid Tutul, poet Tareq Rahim and writer-researcher Ranadipam Basu, leaving them critically injured.
