Saver: The workers of two garment factories clashed at Savar on Saturday morning, leaving at least 25 wounded.

One of the workers, Motahar, said a number of workers switched sides from Apparel Village into Mozart Knitwear recently, as they used to be tortured and denied wages.

“Since then, people of Apparel Village kept threatening the workers,” he added.

According to witnesses, the workers of Mozart staged demonstrations on Saturday morning after one of their colleagues was beaten up by the Village men earlier in the day.

The clash ensued when the Villagers again attacked the agitating workers of Mozart, which left 25 workers wounded on both sides.

The injured were admitted to a local clinic.

Savar Thana SI Abu Taher said police finally brought the brawls between the rival workers under control.
