DHAKA: Le Méridien Dhaka, city’s newest upper upscale hotel, organized a five-day food promotion ‘Daawat-e-Nawab’ to present the revered tastes of Northwest India between November 26-30.

The newest Master Chef overseeing the Indian cuisine of the hotel’s already acclaimed all-day dining buffet restaurant, Latest Recipe, Shamsher Ahmad, brought to Dhaka the traditional savory and sweet delights of the kings at ‘Daawat-e-Nawab’ to reflect the palates of Awadh and Mughal dynasties from Bihar, Kashmir, Punjab and Rajasthan.

“Food should be a burst of flavors in your mouth,” explained Chef Shamsher.

He also said, at the same time, the flavors should be delicately infused together so that your dining experience can ensure the most memorable results.

“The Nawabs of India were accustomed to such experiences and we wish to replicate that at every turn in our hotel,” he added.

“Daawat-e-Nawab” featured a special menu each evening from 7:00pm till 11:00pm so that guests could have the advantage of a wide range of cuisine from the various regions of the Northwest India.

Delicacies such as Murgh Gilafi Sheekh, Paneer Dhingri Masala, Gosht Nalli Nahri, Murgh Peshawari Tikka, Aloo Shimla Mirch and much more delighted guests.

Previously Chef Shamsher worked for the celebrity restaurant Kangan of The Westin Mumbai Garden City.
