KOLKATA (INDIA): Bangladeshi citizens follow the same border for entering and leaving India.
Due to the fact that it is written in the visa, the green passport holders of Bangladesh cannot exit through Tamabil or Bilonia border if they enter India using Benapole border.
Bangladesh Home ministry deputy secretary Nirodh Chandra Mandal, who led the six-member Bangladesh delegation that attended Bangladesh-Bhutan-India-Nepal (BBIN) friendly motor rally, demanded easing these complexities.
Praveen Chandra Bhanj Deo, president of Kalinga Motors that organized the BBIN rally, said that we should ease border passing for all four neighboring countries.
“If needed, BBIN visa can be introduced through which people of all four countries can visit freely,” he observed.
Speakers came up with the observations in a seminar organized by Asian Development Bank (ADB) on Wednesday.
Representatives of all four nations expressed unequivocally that it is impossible to connect people if these kinds of problems exist.
Citing the road transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader, Nirodh said that we need to break the walls for connectivity.
