6 men of new extremist outfit held

DHAKA: Detective Branch (DB) of police detained six members of a newly formed extremist outfit, Al-Mujahid of Bangladesh, from Shapla Chattar in Motijheel area in city early Thursday.

The detainees were identified as Zahirul Islam, Khandaker Rajes Sobhan, Abubakar Siddique, Abraham Ahmed, Morshedul Islam and Kazi Bappi.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) deputy commissioner (media) Muntasirul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
