Uzbek urged to restart Tashkent-Dhaka flight

DHAKA:Bangladesh Ambassador to Tashkent Mosud Mannan urged Uzbekistan to restart direct flight between Tashkent and Dhaka to increase business and trade between the two countries.

‘The fight will also help to import jute products from Bangladesh as Bangladesh produces quality jute items,’ he said in a meeting with  Economy Minister of Uzbekistan Galiva Saidova Friday.

The ambassador also mentioned that Bangladesh economy growing in large scale and Uzbekistan can participate and use this scope.

The Uzbek Economy minister mentioned that Bangladesh is a beautiful country and people are also friendly.

The minister also thanked for importing and using Uzbek cotton in large scale by Bangladesh.

At the beginning of the meeting, Bangladesh envoy mentioned that there is a long-term historical and cultural bondages between the two friendly countries and exist good bilateral relations.

Bangladesh Ambassador emphasized exchange of   education programme at the Government and University level.

He said Bangladesh cultivates a very good number of fishes, Prawn and exporting fish items to Europe, America and Middle east countries.

The envoy also proposed to import this quality, nutritious and delicious fish items from Bangladesh.

Mosud Mannan mentioned that Bangladesh’s RMG are more popular in the world market.

Uzbekistan can import these quality RMG products from Bangladesh and setup Garments factory and to include expert workers from Bangladesh.
The Ambassador also proposed regular sharing of experiences at the ministry level between the two countries.

Bangladesh proposed to import dry food, agriculture products, equipments and chemicals and to setup joint venture motor cars factories; The Ambassador mentioned that Bangladesh is now exporting pharmaceuticals more than 50 countries.

He proposed to import pharmaceutical products from Bangladesh.

Finally, he also proposed to Uzbek side to import tea and have joint venture in the field of software development.
