RANGAMATI: The daylong road and waterway blockade, called by Parbatya Chattagram Jana Sanghati Samity (PCJSS), is underway in Rangamati on Sunday.

The shutdown has begun from 6:00am in protest against ‘vote rigging, malpractice and biased acts of administration’ during municipality elections.

No vehicle was plying on internal roads of the district for blockade. Movement of all long route buses remained halted.

Communication through the waterways connecting the district town has remained suspended.

Additional police have been deployed at key points of the town.
