DHAKA: Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) mayor Annisul Huq visited passport office in capital’s Agargaon area on Sunday.

Department of Immigration & Passports, Bangladesh director general (DG) Brigadier general M Masud Rezwan was present during the time.

He was informed about different measures taken to eliminate harassment, sufferings of people who come to passport office to make new passport, renew and others.

 He also shared his guidance to make the passport office free from brokers control.

Brigadier general M Masud Rezwan informed mayor that the office is now free from brokers. There is no control of brokers.

But when we hand over broker to law enforcers immediately after noticing any of them try to mediate between officer and service recipients, he added. 
 
Masud Rezwan said the works of Machine Readable Passport (MRP) and Machine Readable Visa (MRV) projects are at final stage.
