Bangladesh Beter chief scriptwriter FF Chandan dies

DHAKA: Bangladesh Beter chief scriptwriter and wounded freedom fighter (FF) Kazi Zakir Hossain Chandan died on Sunday at the age of 61.

He breathed his last at National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases in city around 3:45am.

Chandan’s colleague Bangladesh Beter scriptwriter Mia Salauddin informed the matter to banglanews.

He said Chandan was admitted following his chest pain at night at the hospital where doctors declared him dead.

The first namaz-e-janaza of Chandan will be held at National Beter Bhaban in city’s Agargaon area after asr prayer and second one will be held at New Colony.

Later, he will be buried at Shahid Buddhijibi Graveyard in Mirpur with state honor.

He left wife, a daughter and a host of well-wishers to mourn him.
