DHAKA: The winter session of the 10th Jatiya sangsad, also the first session in 2016, is set to begin on January 20.

President M Abdul Hamid on Monday (January 4) convened the parliament session by exercising his power bestowed upon him under article 72 (1) of the Constitution.

The public relations department of Jatiya Sangsad issued a press release in this connection.

It said the session will begin at 4:00pm.

The President will also address the Jatiya Sangsad and the parliamentarians will discuss on the speech.

Earlier on December 21, cabinet approved the draft of the speech of President.
