DHAKA: Two young men were killed in separate road crashes in capital’s Tejgaon and Uttara areas early hours of Wednesday.

One of the deceased was identified as Yusuf Ali, 25, hailed from Debiganj upazila of Panchagarh district and resided in Dakhin Khan area in Dhaka.

Tejgaon industrial thana officer-in-charge (OC) Mizanur Rahman told banglanews that a truck hit Yusuf at Sat Rasta in Tejgaon area early hours of the day, leaving him injured critically.

Later, Yusuf was taken to Suhrawardi Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

On the other hand, Uttara west thana sub-inspector (SI) Nannu Khan said that an unidentified youth (25) was killed in a road accident in Azampur around 3:30am.

Both the bodies were sent to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsy.
