AGARTALA (INDIA): A power ministry delegation of Tripura province of India will go to Bangladesh on Friday to discuss over the method of power supply from Tripura to Bangladesh and to fix its price.
Tripura Power, Urban Development, Rural Development (Panchayat) and Transport minister Manik Dey will lead the delegation after Bangladesh foreign minister AH Mahmood Ali invited him formally.
The delegation will include Tripura’s principal secretary (power) Sanjay Kumar Rakesh, Tripura State Electricity Corporation Ltd. (TSECL) chairman and managing director (CMD) Shyamal K Roy, TSECL deputy general manager Mahananda Debbarma and other high-ups.
The meeting will be held on January 9 (Saturday) in Dhaka.
State secretariat sources confirmed the matter to banglanews on Thursday.
A delegation of India’s central government along with newly appointed India high commissioner to Bangladesh Harsh Vardhan Shringla is also likely to participate in the meeting.
