DHAKA: Bangladesh senior diplomat Moushumi Rahman, from Pakistan, reached at her new work place in Lisbon, Portugal on Thursday night.
Sources from Foreign Ministry confirmed the matter to media.
She will join the Bangladeshi embassy in Lisbon as councilor from next week.
On January 5, Pakistan asked Bangladesh to withdraw Moushumi Rahman, following Dhaka’s urge to Islamabad for withdrawal of a Pakistani diplomat last month.
The Bangladesh envoy has been asked to leave Pakistan in the next 48 hours.
Immediate after Pakistan’s move, the government issued transfer order of Moushumi Rahman and gave her fresh diplomatic assignment to Portugal.
Later, she left Pakistan before the stipulated time to join her new office.
