GOPALGANJ: BNP chairperson Khaleda Khaleda should face trial for burning people in the name of movement, said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

She added, “BNP chairperson tried to overthrow the government by burning people, but failed and then appeared before court with disgraceful failure”.

The premier made the remarks at a program in Tungipara of Gopalganj Friday.

Sheikh Hasina said: “BNP-Jamaat coalition jointly burned and killed people countrywide, even during the election. Khaleda should face trial for those heinous sabotages”.

On the context of trial of War Criminals, the premier said that, “She (Khaleda Zia) is still trying to save them. Moreover, the crimes were done by the war criminals in 1971, BNP is just repeating those in 2015”.

“They didn’t participate in the election first. Then they understood their mistake. They found their wit back at Municipal Election,” she opined.

Sheikh Hasina further said that, “I have only one dream that Bangladesh will be developed and Bangladesh will march forth. This country has become the role model for development and it has been recognized worldwide”.

The PM has inaugurated the Sheikh Russel Municipal Children Park. Afterwards, before her speech, she performed Ziarat at the shrine of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at 11:50AM in Tungipara.
