NARAIL: Two persons were killed and 25 others injured in a road accident on Narail-Kalia highway in Bhabanipur area under Sadar Upazila of the district on Sunday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Shahidul Islam 12, son of Luthu Mollah and Nazmul Mollah 20, son of Wahab Mollah residents of the Upazila.

Police source said that a passenger bus plunged into a roadside ditch when its driver lost its control over the steering in the area at around 4:00pm, leaving two people dead on the spot and 25 injured critically.

The injured were rushed to Narail Sadar Hospital.

Sadar Thana Sub-Inspector Sajal Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.
