CHANDPUR: A construction worker was killed and another one injured as they fell down from a five-storey under construction building in the town on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Emran Hossain, 50, son of Noyeem Uddin of Chapainawabganj district.

Sources said Emran along with his coworkers were working at a under construction five-storey building in Chairmanghat area.

At one stage, he and one of his fellow workers fell down from the building suddenly that left them injured critically.

They were rushed to Chandpur General Hospital where Emran succumbed to his injuries.

Chandpur Model Thana Officer-in-Charge Mahbub Morshed confirmed the matter to banglanews.
