COMILLA: A student of Dhaka University was crushed under the wheels of a train and another one was injured at Natherpetua rail station under Manoharganj in the district earlier Friday.

The deceased was identified as Mahabubul Hasan Shiblu, 25, a honor’s final student of Dhaka University at Islamic studies department

The injured is Rabeya Khatun, 70, grandmother of Shiblu and daughter of late Keramat Ali, of Nangalcot upazila of Comilla.
 
Sources said the victim was trying to come down from the train quickly at around 02:30 am while he went under the wheels of train, leaving critically injured.

Later, locals rushed him to Laksam Shanta Medical where duty doctor declared him dead and Rabeya is now undergoing treatment at Comilla Trauma Center.

Laksam Railway GRP Thana Officer-in-Charge Sahid Ullah confirmed the matter to banglanews.
