DHAKA: A youth was killed as a rashly driven bus knocked him down in Mohakhali area of the city on Tuesday night.

The deceased was identified as Harun Sikdar, 31, son of Ujir Sikder, hailed from Gopalganj district.

Witnesses said Harun wanted to get up a passenger bus but failed. In the mean time, another bus knocked him down from behind, leaving him dead on the spot.

On the other hand, the bus driver was injured and admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital as angry mob beat him up.

Banani Thana Inspector (Investigation) Sheikh Nasir Uddin confirmed the matter to banglanews.
