DINAJPUR: Three people died in three separate incidents in Birganj, Birol and Sadar upazilas of the district on Wednesday.

The deceased were identified as Motindranath Roy, 45, Headmaster of Bhaboki Govt Primary School of Birganj, Atiur Rahman, 14, son of Shahidur Rahman and student of class IX of Disnajpur Dist. School of Sadar Upazila and Bani Rani Roy, 28, wife of Bisu Charan from Rajarampur village of Birol upazila.

Sources said people informed the police after watching the body of Motindranath Roy in a paddy field missing from Tuesday evening.

Inspector of Birganj Thana Arman Hossain told banglanews: “Police have sent the body of Motindranath Roy to Dinajpur Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.”

Besides, Bani Roy died as lightning struck her while working in the yard.

Inspector of Birol Thana Amirul Islam said that none made complaint over the incident with the thana but they are looking into the matter.

On the other hand, on information from the family members, police recovered a hanging body of Atiur Rahman from Balubari area of Dinajpur town.
